W Tungsten
Uses Tungsten has the highest melting point of any metal. Tungsten is used in filaments in incandescent light bulbs, it is also used in electric contacts and arc-welding electrodes. Tungsten is used in alloys, such as steel, to which it imparts great strength.
Found Tungsten is found in certain minerals including wolframite ((Fe, Mn)WO4) and scheelite (CaWO4). Most of the world's tungsten, about 75%, comes from China. Other major deposits of tungsten can be found in California, Colorado, South Korea,Bolivia, Russia and Portugal.
Obtain Tungsten ore is a rock from which the element tungsten can be economically extracted. The ore minerals of tungsten include wolframite, scheelite, and ferberite.
