Roman Legacy of Law and Justice…A play. There will be three plays. Each play represents a different civilization’s method of law and justice. Which one is closest to ours? What do you notice about how each play seeks justice for the accused criminal?

The Constitution (first 10 Amendments are known as the Bill of Rights) Which of these protect you from being falsely accused? Right to freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and the right to assemble. Right to keep and bare arms. Right to not allow soldiers to stay in your home. Right to not be searched without reason. Right not to testify against yourself. - (Miranda rights)

The Law of the Twelve Tables = Rome’s first written laws were written on 12 bronze tablets that also guaranteed Roman citizens’ rights!!
