Warm-Up 4/11/16 In your notebook, name 2 reasons why you would leave from rural Texas to urban Texas. 1). One reason why I would leave rural Texas is….. 2). The second reason why I would leave rural Texas is….

Learning Target: The students will understand the factors that caused Texas to change from an agrarian society to an urban. Success Criteria: I will explain economic factors that led to the urbanization of Texas. Language Objective: We will explain ways in which Texas went from an agrarian society to an urbanized society.

Definitions Rural- in, relating to, or characteristic of the countryside rather than the town. Urban- in, relating to, or characteristic of a city or town. Urbanization- is the process where an increasing percentage of a population lives in cities and suburbs.

Compare And Contrast VS.

Assignment Get into groups of 2. Each group will be assigned either Transportation, Oil and Gas, or Manufacturing. You will research your topic, fill out the 3 boxes, and then draw a picture of it. Then you will be placed in groups of 3 with people who did the opposite topics from you. You will complete the other two categories and draw the picture. Turn into the tray once you’re completed.
