Purpose of Workshop Issue APMP must ensure its future relevance and value to NMIs and the region Ensure metrology and the MRA serve the key issues of the region Ensure APMP serves the needs of the regional NMIs. Approach Bottom up: TCs develop individual strategies Top down: Directors identify key regional issues for focus Note: New Lead TC Chair needs to be elected. Internal process among TC Chairs. New TC Chairs are: TCL – Chu-Shik Kang (KRISS) and TCTF – Michael Wouters, NMIA. Be aware that DEC Chair’s servic term ends GA 2015.

Expected outcomes From “Draft APMP Strategy Paper” Identify 1 to 3 high-level focus areas (eg: food safety, renewable energy, climate measurement, etc). Identify a member economy to lead the focus area activity; Goal: in addition to the MRA, deliver impact in focus areas from APMP by: Prioritising funding through APMP’s Technical Committee Initiatives (TCI) and Developing Economies’ Committee (DEC) budgets and/or establishing and funding one-off projects; Prioritising APMP participation in meetings and other engagements relevant to the focus areas; Note: New Lead TC Chair needs to be elected.
