About Income Tax India e-Filing Website  is the official government website for income tax return filing  You can also view your Form 26AS, download tax returns of previous years and respond to tax notices on this portal  To do these things you will need to register on this portal

Registration Steps:  Step 1: Go to Income Tax India e-Filing Website  Step 2: Click on the “Register Yourself” button present on the top right corner

 Step 3: On the registration form, select the user type as “Individual” and click on the “Continue” button.

 Step 4: Next step is to fill the mandatory fields (marked with asterisk) and click on the “Continue” button.

 Step 5: Please fill all the mandatory details (marked with asterix). Make sure to fill correct mobile number and -id currently used by you, as further communication will be sent to your -id and mobile number by the Income Tax Department and click on the “Submit” button.

 Step 6: Once the registration is complete, you will receive an on your registered id from Income Tax Department through their -id, An OTP will also be sent to your registered mobile number.

 Step 7: Access the sent to you by Income Tax Department and click on the enclosed activation link. It will take you to the activation page.

 Step 8: In the activation page, enter the OTP you received earlier and press the “Submit” button.  Step 9: Once you submit the OTP, your registration is successfully completed. So, now you can login to access your account.
