Romeo and Juliet reading 3 Date: Objectives Finish scene three and four. Answer questions for the purpose of a closer reading for the Junior Cert. Warm –up – A4 pad – write the quote, answer the questions Juliet on marriage: “It is an honour that I dream not of” (C67) What do you think honour is? (Sample in a sentence: It is an honour to teach you all.) Is this a positive or negative view of marriage?

Notes – write this down Dramatic Irony: When the audience’s awareness of a situation differs from the characters. We know Romeo and Juliet fall in love, despite her parent’s plans. Foreshadowing: Indicating what might happen later. Romeo senses his death will result from the party. Take this note time to get volunteers for readings.

Roles: Friends and family talking to their loved ones, trying to make them feel better. Girls, then guys.
