20 November 2014 Do Now: Write down 3 things you see and what you believe they mean. Today, I will be able to analyze a primary document using visual observations. Also, I will be able to list events leading up to the Am. Rev. in sequential order. I will be able to create a cause and effect relationship line using events from the French and Indian War until the Boston Tea Party.

About the picture This was an engraving done in 1774 titled, “The Bostonians Paying the Exciseman”. Excise= a tax levied on a certain good or service. Do you think the artist who created this engraving had a favorable view of the Americans? Give examples

Period 2 (with a partner finish questions 7-8), you have 8 mins.

The Creation of the Committee of Correspondence The Boston Massacre Working with your group of 4, place the following events in sequential order. No outside material is allowed (texts, homework, notes, etc.) Boston Tea Party The Tea Act The Proclamation of 1763 The Treaty of Paris The Stamp Act The Sugar Act The Stamp Act Congress Pontiac’s War The Creation of the Committee of Correspondence The Boston Massacre The Albany Plan of Union The Townshend Acts The Nonimportation agreements

The Correct Order: Explain how each event is connected to the next. The Albany Plan of Union Pontiac’s War The Treaty of Paris The Proclamation of 1763 The Sugar Act The Stamp Act The Stamp Act Congress The Townshend Acts The Nonimportation agreements The Boston Massacre The Creation of the Committee of Correspondence The Tea Act Boston Tea Party
