INTRODUCTION Electronic governance or E-governance is the application of information communication technology (ICT) for delivering government services , exchange of information , communication , transactions , integration of various stand alone system and services.

DEFINITION “E-Governance is describes as process of reform in the way of government works , shares information , engages citizens and delivers services to external and internal clients that they serve.”

OBJECTIVES To build an informed society. To increase government and citizen interaction. To encourage citizen participation. To bring transparency in the governing process. To make government accountable. To reduce the cost of governance. To reduce the reaction time of government.

E-governance Targets 4 Groups In Society CITIZEN GOVERNMENT BUSINESS GROUPS EMPLOYEES

MODELS Followings are models of E-governance :- G2C (Government to citizen) G2B (Government to business) G2G (Government to government) G2E (Government to employees)

G2C (Government to citizen) The goal of government to citizen (G2C) e-governance is to offers a variety of ICT services to citizen in an efficient and economical manner and to strengthen the relationship between government and citizen using technology. FOR Example :- sites for registration of birth , marriage or death certificate etc. GOVERNMENT WEBSITES CITIZEN

G2B (Government to business) Government uses G2B model websites to approach business organizations. Such websites supports auctions , tenders and application submissions. For Example :- E-Tendering , E-Licencing , E-Taxation . GOVERNMENT WEBSITES BUSSINESS

G2G (Government to government) From the start of 1990s e-commerce and e-product, there has rampant integration of e-forms of government process . Government now has tired to use their efficiencies of their techniques to cut down on waste. FOR EXAMPLE :- E-Police , E-Courts , E-Administration GOVERNMENT WEBSITES GOVERNMENT

G2E (Government to employees) This is one of the 4th main primary interaction in the delivery model of E-governance . It is the relationship between online tools , sources and articles that help employees to maintain communication with the government and company. For example :- E-payroll , paychecks , pay stubs , pay bills and keep records for tax information . GOVERNMENT WEBSITES EMPLOYEES

OBJECTS The object of E-governance is to provide a SMART Government . SMART refers to :- S – Simple M – Moral A -- Accountable R -- Responsive T -- Transparent

Challenges before E-governance at International position E-governance is facing numerous challenges world over. Administrative level, Legal factors, Institutional level, Technological factor.
