Dissemination of “Formative Research for Assessing Exposure and Effectiveness of IEC/SBCC Interventions Implemented by IEM Unit of DGFP” Key recommendations of the Study: National Broadcast time should be reformed for using TV as an electronic media to disseminate health and family planning related information Higher emphasis should be given to Bangladesh Television as private TV channels are disseminating less FP related information compared to BTV and also rural people have more access to BTV in compare to private TV channels.

Key recommendations of the Study contd… Family planning workers or health workers were appeared as most effective channels of SBCC intervention. Therefore, more emphasize should be given on the coverage of family planning workers The coverage of AV Van should be increased Area specific communication strategy should be adopted Audience specific communication strategy should be taken IEC/SBCC activities should disseminate adequate information to address misconception and side effects of using family planning methods More emphasis should be given to contents and issues other than coverage.
