Do NOW: (1) Take out your H.W. and notebook. (2) Answer in your notebook: Ms. Karpinsky and Mrs. Simmons placed a trail marker in the ground every 70 yards. Every 80 yards, they set up a water station. What is the shortest distance a runner will have to run to see both a water station and a trail marker?

OBJECTIVE(S): I will be able to demonstrate my knowledge of division and number sense: fractions, decimals, and integers So that I can calculate the quotient of real world and mathematical problems found in fractions, decimals and integers. I will show I know it when I can independently write the solutions to these problems and then verbally discuss with my partners how I determined my answer with at least 80% accuracy. 6.NS.1-3

Vocabulary Round Whole number Mixed Number Split Equally Reduce

Agenda: (1) Take out your homework, we will review this in class. (2) Afterwards, you will first work independently to complete the daily review. (3) Last 10 minutes of class, you will turn and discuss with your partners the answers you found, you will create viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others if you do not agree on your answers.
