What is migration?

Vocab Push factors: reasons for people to move from a place Pull factors: reasons for people to move to a place Brain Drain: (next slide)

Push/pull factors Cultural: religious freedom, also human wants Demographic: unbalanced sex ratios Economic: jobs Environmental: natural disasters Political: persecution Brain drain: when educated people leave an undeveloped region to go to a more attractive area (more money, etc.)
