Partial products By: Elias and Adam

What are partial products? Partial products is a way to multiply Partial-products multiplication is based on the distributive, or grouping, property of multiplication. A person using this algorithm multiplies each digit of one factor by each of the digits in the other factor, taking into account the place value of each digit www

How to use partial products First, you have to do the bottom number times the top number in the ones column. Next, you multiply the bottom number by the tens column. Then, you multiply the number in the hundreds column and so on and so on. Finally, you add all the numbers you multiplied and that is your answer.

Now you try! 564 X 8 ________

Now you try! 564 Here is the answer! X 8 ________ 32 480 4000 __________ 4512
