TEACHER SUBJECT SPECIALISM TRAINING [TSST] HIGHDOWN SCHOOL AND SIXTH FORM CENTRE TEACHER SUBJECT SPECIALISM TRAINING [TSST] Mathematics, Physics or French specialisms Are you interested in teaching Mathematics, Physics or French and one of the following applies to you? You have QTS and work in a secondary school You are currently teaching a different subject but would like to teach Maths, Physics or French You are currently teaching Maths, Physics or French but they are not your first subject specialism You would like to return to teaching in Maths, Physics or French after a career break If so, this programme is for you! Highdown School and Sixth Form Centre, is running three free school-led secondary TSST programmes from October 2018 to July 2019. Each programme comprises of:   three full one day face-to-face conferences, starting late October six afternoon face-to-face training sessions in-school mentoring and support peer observation working with specialist subject leaders subject knowledge development specialist subject pedagogy and practice development subject knowledge assessment to GCSE FREE access to our weekly twilight Joint Professional Learning programme (details available separately) access to NCETM, IoP and ALL resources FREE training! Funded by NCTL Aims of the programme: enhance Maths, Physics or French knowledge to give confidence to teach it inspire enthusiasm for the subject provide teachers with motivating activities and tasks for teaching train staff to deliver content for Key Stage 4 provide mentoring and support “A bespoke differentiated approach to meet teacher needs” “Excellent throughout.
