Tech Ed Expectations 2010-2011 School Year Welcome Seating Chart

Where should books be kept in the Tech Ed room? Under your assigned seat in the classroom area Tip Over problems Broken Keys on Computers etc Keep tgem ou of the way

Should you ever touch the computer screen? No!!

What should I bring to Tech Ed class? A folder for papers, pencil or pen, paper

Should I stop at my locker or take a restroom break before I come to Tech Ed? No!!

Why do I have to pay $5? This is a “lab” fee that covers the supplies that you will use in this class

How long should I stay quiet in my seat? You will need to remain quiet until roll is called and instructions are given for the day.

What should I do if I have a question or comment? Raise your hand and do not shout out in class.

What things should I not bring to Tech Ed? No food No candy No gum No drinks - even water bottles

What will I need to get into Tech Ed if I am late from another class? You will need to bring a note from your previous teacher. Without this, you will receive an unexcused tardy.

What do I do if I am absent? It is your responsibility to ask about missed assignments. Unexcused absences receive a zero.

How should I come into the Tech Ed classroom? You should come in quietly and go directly to your assigned seat. Do not step over the desks, but walk down the aisle.

What will happen if I’m late 3 times? You will receive a team write up.

How should my papers be turned in for credit? Your first and last name should be PRINTED in the upper right hand corner along with your class period.

You will receive a zero for the assignment. What if I do not follow the procedure with my name (first/last) and class period? You will receive a zero for the assignment.

Where should my feet go when I am sitting down? Your feet need to be kept on the floor at all times. Be careful not to get near the electrical cords underneath the computers. Do not put them on the chair in front of you.

How should I act when I am working on projects alone and with someone? Raise your hand and stay in your seat. We will come to you or give you further instructions.

Can I take a bathroom break? Bathroom breaks are only for emergency situations. You may use a team bathroom pass.

What do I need to do if I have to leave the Tech Ed room? Get permission to leave. Sign out on the clipboard on the black file cabinet and include all needed info. Take the proper pass. Sign back into the classroom.

What will happen if I do not keep these expectations? Warning or a verbal reminder. Copy of Expectations paper 3-day loss of computer priviledges/book work& a write up. Office write up and conference with your parent.
