Brainstorm What was the most significant proximate factor that led to European dominance of world history? Brainstorm: Ocean-going ships – couldn’t have spread their power/ability to fight and couldn’t have been able to conquer new lands or control seas without them Political system and writing – made things organized, easier to control, etc Epidemic diseases – killed a lot of people, but only natives – did this lead to their dominance of the world? Guns and steel swords – advanced weaponry that’s superior to a lot of native peoples = easier to control and subjugate natives Horses – easy transportation
WRITE As a class! Let’s do it.
ANALYZE continuities and change over time in gender roles from the paleolithic era to the neolithic era
CCOTs (Continuity and change over time) CCOTs will always consist of: Analyzing continuities (what’s stayed the same) and changes (what’s changed) In a specific aspect (usually a PERSIAN chart category) From one time period to another Brainstorm what that aspect was like during the first era and then again during the second era WHY did that change is what your essay will be about… we will get to that later for now, just a thesis:
CCOTs (Continuity and change over time) In CCOTs, you will argue that whatever the aspect is (in this case, gender roles) changed more or stayed the same more over the time period required. Gender roles changed drastically between the Paleolithic and Neolithic Eras, so therefore, I will argue that they changed more. My X statement = one way that gender roles remained the same. My A and B = two ways that gender roles changed My Y = Therefore, gender roles changed drastically from the Paleolithic Era to the Neolithic Era.
You write!
