Key Stage 3 Assessment Life without NC levels Schools have the freedom to develop their own methods of assessment

Whole School 1-9 Assessment Scale Links in with the recently adopted GCSE system already introduced Continuity from Year 7 to Year 11 2nd year of the new system

Grade 9 Nationally = 2% Barnwell = 4.5%

Sub-levels Each level is divided up into 3 sublevels (a,b,c) Students should make a minimum 2 sub-levels of progress each year. Levels 4a 4b 4c 3a 3b 3c

Parent Power and Homework Children whose parents are more involved in their education have higher levels of academic performance than children whose parents are involved to a lesser degree.

Show My Homework Provides students and parents access to see the work their child has to do Homework can be checked by both parents and teachers Can be accessed with any device that has internet connection Allows all stakeholders to always have access to their homework National issues with SMHW
