Shintoism

Shintoism - the main religion of Ancient Japan - still continues to be of influence in Japan today - polytheism (many gods) - based on love and respect for nature - so you worship trees, rocks, mountains, rivers (nature)

Shintoism Shinto: the Way of the Gods very simple (not complicated) so it was very easy to spread

Shintoism hip Shinto worships “kamis” - all nature-based. It worships trees, water, rain, mountains. The most important kami is the sun goddess - Amaterasu.

Shintoism Shinto does not have a concept of right or wrong. The things we do on earth don’t have moral consequences attached to them. (protect/respect nature is a good thing)
