Thoracic Impairments Stop saying, “Patient has residuals.” Please… Colossus only recognizes “Impairments” from the AMA Guides

Thoracic Spine 20-23% Impairment 2.5mm translation Both flexion & extension Added together 20-23% Impairment

5% - 8% Impairment 15% - 18% Impairment Muscle guarding or spasm Assymetric loss of ROM Non-verifiable radiculopathy NO AOMSI, or Herniated disk w/ no symptoms after non-surgical treatment. 15% - 18% Impairment Ongoing neurologic impairment of the lower extremity related to thoracolumbar injury documented loss of motor, reflexes, or unilateral atrophy, or Radiculopathy w/ +MRI that resolved w/out surgery

20% - 23% Impairment AOMSI or Bilateral or Multilevel radiculopathy AOMSI is defined as: >2.5mm translation of one vertebra on another in both flexion and extension (added together)

No more “Residuals” No more “Residuals” No more “Residuals” Only “Impairments” Only “Impairments” Only “Impairments”
