Why do debating? It helps you HEAPS with your studies… You meet LOTS of great people… You learn some AWESOME life-long skills… You are able to compete with EVERY school… You are given some BRILLIANT opportunities…

IMPROVEMENT IN READING ABILITY Why do debating? IMPROVEMENT IN READING ABILITY

DAV Schools Competition This is the main debating competition for the year, and one of the largest debating competitions in the world. Everyone is encouraged to join, and it is a great pathway into other events. Open to all students in years 9 to 12, regardless of experience. The best choice for new, intermediate and experienced debaters alike. All Brighton Region debates are at Brighton Grammar School. The top team(s) from the Brighton region will be invited to participate in the State Finals. If you sign up, you need to commit to the entire season.

DAV Schools Competition The dates for the 2018 Schools Competition are: Round 1: Wednesday, March 14th 2018 Round 2: Wednesday, March 28th 2018 Round 3: Wednesday, May 9th 2018 Round 4: Wednesday, May 30th 2018 Round 5: Tuesday, July 24th 2018 Years 10, 11 and 12 begin at 7pm Year 9 begins at 8pm If you know of any clashes at this stage, please let me know as soon as possible!

Signing Up Sign up looks a little different this year. You can still sign up individually or as a team. Complete your form by Thursday February 8 in order to ensure your team is registered.
