FAMILY LORE ANCESTRY.COM There was one set of twins born one month apart. There was a second set of twins. ANCESTRY.COM 1910 Census 12 children, 6 alive Married 25 years: marriage ~ 1885

RESEARCH Cousin Richard He had the Italian passport of great-grandpa Giovanni Sanfelice. Obtained full name, date of birth, place of birth, name of parents, occupation, and residence.

RESEARCH FamilySearch.Org Searched for microfilm containing civil records of San Prisco, Caserta, Italy Found FHS Film 1802294: Birth, Matrimony, Death from 1885 - 1904

CONFIRMATION OF BIRTHS of KNOWN CHILDREN Son Gabriele, b. Feb. 13, 1888, San Prisco Son Raffaele, b. Feb. 16, 1890, San Prisco Son Giuseppe, b. Feb. 10, 1894, San Prisco Son Gustave, b. Mar. 5, 1896, San Prisco Dau Matrona, b. Mar. 20, 1897, San Prisco Dau Carolina, b. Mar. 20, 1901, San Prisco

DISCOVERIES Death of son Gabriele Sanfelice, 5/26/1887, age 3 years (b.~5/1884) Death of daughter Maria Carmela Sanfelice, 3/18/1888, age 28 months (b. ~Dec 1885) Birth of twin daughter Assunta, 8/9/1889; died 8/9/1889 Birth of twin daughter Carolina, 8/10/1889; died 8/11/1889

PROVEN Found 4 of the 6 missing children, and their death certificates. Found one set of twins: born one DAY apart, not one month apart. UNPROVEN Second set of twins, which would make the total number of children 12.

EVALUATION Gap in children between Raffaele (b. 1890) and Guiseppe (b. 1894) At that time children were usually born every two years At that time children born premature or stillborn may not have been registered

CONCLUSION The last two missing children were probably a set of twins born ~1892 who were either premature or stillborn and not registered. Mystery of the missing 6 children is solved as best as it can be with the information available.
