Supporting Workplace Study Making the most of the resource Day One

Purpose To prepare for using Supporting Workplace Study and gaining maximum benefit from the resource Outcomes: You will Identify the contexts in which you are likely to use mentoring skills Recognise some of the ways in which the resource may enhance your mentoring skills Trial the resource and identify effective ways of utilising it.

Introduction In groups discuss: Why you are interested in doing the module The contexts in which you will utilise mentoring skills

Introduction to the resource: Overall learning outcomes (1 of 3) After studying this course you should be able to: Identify your particular role as a professional supervisor or mentor in the context of your own profession/workplace Understand the range of skills required for effective professional supervision or mentoring
