Energy can exists in different forms Mechanical Sound Chemical Thermal Electromagnetic Nuclear Solar Energy

ENERGY The ability to cause change.

Wave A disturbance that transfers energy from place to place. Waves can transfer energy over distances without moving matter the entire distance. Examples: Water Wave, Sound Wave

Medium: Any substance that a wave can move through. Mechanical Wave: Waves that transfer energy through matter.

Transverse Wave The direction of the wave travels perpendicular, to direction of the disturbance.

Longitudinal Waves The wave travels the same direction as the disturbance.
