Palpable (adj)-a feeling so strong that other people notice it and can feel it around them Amenity (n)- something that makes a place comfortable or easy to live in

Condone (v)- to accept or forgive behavior that most people think is morally wrong Naïve (adj)- not having much experience of how complicated life is, so that you trust people too much and believe that good things will always happen

Scruple (n)- a belief about what is right and wrong that prevents you from doing bad things Futile (adj)- actions that are futile are useless because they have no chance of being successful

Cosmopolite (n)-a person who has lived and travelled in many countries Droll (adj)- amusing in an unusual way

Debacle (n)- an event or situation that is a complete failure Solicitously (adv)- very concerned about someone's safety, health, or comfort

Gargoyle (n)- A grotesque ornamental figure or projection; A person of bizarre or grotesque appearance Zealous (adj)- someone who does or supports something with great energy

Affable (adj)- friendly and easy to talk to Tangible (adj)- something you can touch or feel
