Ecology Flip Book Project Take one of the Ecology Flip-Book Project Expectations from the front table. Sit down.

Ecology Flip Book Project You will spend 2 class days creating a flip book that will focus on the terms and key concepts revolved around ecology.

Less than half of the pictures are colored. Neatness & creativity lacking. Neatness is lacking. At least half of the pictures are colored. Creativity is lacking. Color and neatness is evident. Creative. Attractive. Appealing in color and neatness. Exceptional creativity. Very attractive.

Ecology Flip Book Project You will need three sheets of computer paper. Follow the teacher’s instructions to create your flip book.

What is Ecology? Biosphere Ecosystem Community Population Organism You will label the flip book on the front like this Symbiotic Relationships You will label the back of the flip book like this

What is Ecology? Define Ecology Draw and color a picture that represents ecology

Biosphere Define biosphere Write the following note: The biosphere is the highest level of ecological organization. Give 3 examples biosphere factors Draw and color a picture that represents the biosphere

Ecosystem Define ecosystem Give 3 examples of ecosystems Write and answer the question: What will you find in an ecosystem? Draw and color a picture that represents an ecosystem

Community Define community Write and answer the question: Explain how organisms can interact with each other in a forest? (Make sure to give examples) Draw and color a picture that represents a community

Population Define population Define species Give 3 examples of populations that could live in a forest Write and answer the question: What are 5 populations found in my community? What are the 4 limiting factors that can cause a population to decrease? Draw and color a picture that represents a population

Organism Define organism Write the following note: An organism is the lowest level of ecological organization. Write and answer the question: What are the 3 things an organism must have to survive? What is the difference between an organism’s habitat and its niche? What is the difference between a producer and consumer? What is the purpose of a decomposer? Draw and color a picture that represents an organism

Symbiotic Relationships Define Symbiosis Write and answer the question: What are the 3 types of symbiotic relationships? Give an example for each of the following: Mutualism Commensalism Parasitism Draw and color a picture that represents symbiosis
