UNCAPPED is a program designed to enable the start-up and growth of Ottawa area social enterprises through organizational readiness support, capacity building and access to funding.

CENTRE FOR SOCIAL ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT ELIGIBILITY AT A GLANCE Must be a registered charity, non-profit organization or for-profit with a clearly demonstrated public benefit Based in Ottawa or have an Ottawa footprint Project must take place in Ottawa @CSEDOTTAWA CENTRE FOR SOCIAL ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT

CENTRE FOR SOCIAL ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT FINANCIAL PRODUCTS GRANTS GRANT LOAN COMBO LOANS Who is Eligible? Must be a registered charity, or have a charitable sponsor Registered charity, nonprofit organization or for-profit with clearly demonstrated public benefit. Social enterprise must have 12 months of revenues, <25 full-time employees and <$2 million in revenues Uses To enhance social impact and/or scale-up Typically grant supports social costs, loan supports business expansion For capital costs or other investments needed to scale-up the enterprise. Amounts $1,000-$10,000 $3,000- $30,000 – ratio of $2 in loan funds to $1 in grant funds $1,000 to $15,000 (up to $25,000 by exception) Terms Up to 5-year term Prime + 2 – 6%.
