Automated Triaging of Adult Chest Radiographs with Deep Artificial Neural Networks This artificial intelligence (AI) based system detected abnormal from normal adult chest radiographs with a high PPV of 94%. This AI system can be used to triage radiographs for reporting as critical, urgent, non-urgent or normal. Simulations showed abnormal radiographs with critical findings receive an expert radiologist opinion sooner (2.7 versus 11.2 days on average) using AI prioritization compared to conventional clinical practice.
