31/5/15 Planning TP: Planning and preparation is important for any task. Bell work: BW: Imagine that Brian had not been rescued. In three sentences predict what would happen to him.

Class Discussion Brainstorm some other alternative endings you could write about. For example, Brian get famous and makes a lot of money.

Individual Activity Start to plan your alternative ending in preparation for tomorrow. Make notes as to the events that happen. Use the five senses to add setting description. Your ending MUST NOT exceed two pages in length. It will be written in class tomorrow under timed conditions.

1/6/15 Writing Assessment TP: Write an alternative ending to Hatchet. Bell work: What is one thing you are excited about going into Year 9? What is one thing you’re worried about?

Work on one of the following activities: Design an alternative front cover to Hatchet. Imagine you are interviewing Brian for a magazine after he is rescued. Script your questions and his answers. Any other individual activity you haven’t finished. Revise for the English exam next week. Choose a book to read quietly.
