No gum, candy or chewing please!  2/23/15 Agenda: Agenda Bell work Activity 97- Eating for Energy Materials: Agenda Notebook & pencil Ecology and Evolution text DO: Today we will analyze the effects of an introduced species on energy transfer DQ: Draw an example of a food web for a pond community.

Activity 97- Origins of Species Adaptation: The process of change by which an organism or species becomes better suited to its environment. Mutation:  occurs when DNA is damaged or changed in such a way as to alter the genetic message carried by that gene. Natural Selection: the process where organisms better adapted to their environment tend to survive and produce more offspring.

Origins of Species Procedure: Read activity 97 Answer the Stopping to Think Questions in your science notebook Answer Analysis questions 1-3 in your science notebook.
