Your slides should not be too wordy You need to submit your slides at the end of the presentation You may wish to annotate your slides You should include a copy of your script as well

You need to Plan, Prepare and Practise Four stages of planning your presentation Content – plan what you want to say. It should be relevant to the title, interesting and the slides should follow on from each other Visual aids – they should be easy to read, relevant and interesting Pace/voice – people need to be able to hear you, you need to stick to the time limit Body language – you should smile and look at the audience You need to Plan, Prepare and Practise

You have a lot of flexibility about what you can focus on. You should: Try to make it interesting Give a flavour of your project Explain why you chose your topic or question Explain what you found out in terms of main issues/arguments and the conclusion you reached on your question.

Self-reflection in evaluation You should: You must show self-reflection in evaluation of the project i.e. what went well in terms of planning, methods, research, write up ? What didn’t? what would you do differently if you were starting again/doing a comparable university research project? What overall have you learned from doing the project? (in terms of skills, not content)

Run through the presentation with a friend or family member Homework Create your slides Run through the presentation with a friend or family member Produce an annotated copy of your slides Produce a copy of your script Make sure that you have evaluated your project and described any new skills you learnt.
