A Day in the Life of a Receptionist Please can you book a home visit for Mr Smith? Could I have a chaperone please? Please can you book Miss Brown in for a CHD review? Please could you book Mr Brown for a hep B injection? I NEED MY PRESCRIPTION TODAY!!! You may just think that a receptionist is a pretty face at the desk booking your appointment, however there is more to it than that! Receptionists have to deal with the 100’s of calls coming through each day, whilst dealing with prescription requests, doctors and nurses requests and organising home visits. Sometimes we even have to call emergency services for a doctor too. All this plus much more!
