Lady Hester Stanhope By:vella/5C

Something About Me…. My name is Lady Hester Stanhope. I was born on 12 March 1776 at Chevening, Kent. I was the eldest of three daughters born to the Tyranical Charles Stanhope, 3rd Earl Stanhope By his first wife, lady Hester Pitt. My father was a tyranical person because he Bossed everyone else. I was a Christian and Muslim person.

What I was famous for before I explored I am famous for my stately beauty and lively conversation. I looked after the household of my uncle, William Pitt, the prime minister, until his death. Then I was rewarded with a yearly pension of £1,200.

How did I finally become An Explorer… I wanted to explore the world because of romantic reasons. It had forced me because all the men I loved had died in a war so I couldn’t go back to England because of the bitter past.

Places I Went To… I went to The Middle East, and I went to places of special Christian significance. It was a place for Christian people to pray. Then I went to Egypt and to Jerusalem. In Jerusalem, the government received me. When I announced that I wanted to visit The Church of Holy Sepulcher, the doors were especially closed and reopened in my honor.

What you can learn from me…. “not only men can go discovering, but women and girls can also go adventuring to different places.” What you can learn from me….

Book’s that are realated to me
