The Patient Record Management System is meant to provide easy access of patient data in an advanced and orderly fashion; it will help maintain individual patient account ledgers for each treatment. Having a clear appointment schedule which facilitates easy search and retrieval of stored patient information, when the patient visits more than once. Having a detailed patient file to assist the attending dentist plan the next procedure quickly. History The clinic was set up by Adventist Health International and started operations in 2006. Previously there was no well planned system to help the dentist work as quicker when it came to follow-up treatment. Mission Following in the healing ministry of Jesus Christ, our mission at Lusaka Adventist Dental Services (LADS ) is to provide compassionate service and quality dental care. To have a system designed and built to meet most of the requirements of a dentist with regard to patient management, helping the dentist manage the clinics in an effective manner. Be able to generate medical information for patients, and create reports for the patients. Patient records are used by the dentists in order to organize the records of the patients in their practice. Acquiring a database to automate the clinic’s patient record management process, including: patient information, appointment schedule, personal records, previous medical records, treatment records, prescriptions, case reports, and images.
