General information Three types of competitive programs: seminars, institutes, and field studies Both adjunct and full-time faculty are eligible for most programs presented Expected outcome is to use program’s content to internationalize curricula and enhance student’s global understanding

Council on International Education Exchange (CIEE) Program dates/locations: various Application deadline: see website Cost: Varies by program duration and location

Dar al Islam: Teacher’s Institute Program dates: July in Abiquiu, NM. Application deadline: see website Cost: Airfare to Albuquerque, NM

East West Center’s Asian Studies Development Program Program dates: July-August@ University of Hawaii—Manoa Application deadline: see website Cost: $350, plus r-t airfare to Honolulu, local transportation, and some meals

National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Program dates/locations: various Application deadline: March 1. Cost: Stipends of $1,200 - $3,900 are paid to the participants to help cover expenses for these one- to five-week programs.

US Holocaust Memorial Museum: Teacher Fellowship Program dates: July  in Washington DC Application deadline: see website Cost: Fully-funded by the museum
