Secretary Create and send e-mails Respond to e-mails Create events on beinvolved page Help with event planning
Treasurer Handles dues and helps set the dues for each semester Handles bank account and keeps track of funds Helps lead hikes Responsible for keeping track of how much money we have and are spending
Public Relations Officer Handles Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and beinvolved publicity Helps at student org night in talking to potential new members Helps lead hikes
Hike Coordinator Responsible for scheduling hikes Responsible for making sure exec members will be leading those hikes
Commitment Meetings once a week or once every two weeks Hikes once a weekend (weather permitting) Student org night once a semester Need to have at least 3 Semesters left
Application Process Review positions and decide which two you’d most like to be. Rank your first choice and your second choice. Send a message to the JMU Outdoor Adventure Club with your first and second choice positions and a brief description of why you want the position and why you believe you are the most qualified. In this same message make sure to list your name, year, major (if you have one), other club involvement, and your schedules for this semester Submit this application by midnight on March 14th. Applications will be reviewed and if you are or aren’t selected we will message you privately to begin your training Any questions simply message the facebook page or post on our beinvolved website
