House Style The style of my house is the American craftsman style. Its most common features include; exposed beams, high ceilings, low pitched roof lines, tapered square columns on the outside, hand-crafted stone of woodwork and mixed materials throughout structure. The style originated in California. Craftsman home plans have an organic, warm and inviting feel. Interior details include built-in shelving, cabinetry, and the like, with abundant use of wood carved in geometric patterns inspired by the natural environment. Even though the houses typically lack in square footage, they make up for it in interior designs and livable floor plans. Go inside

House location and backyard My house is in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is a lakefront property so you can walk downstairs in the morning, grab a cup of coffee and sit on the bench swing outside overlooking the lake. Master Bedroom I originally designed my bedroom with light colors and mostly white furniture. My bedroom has tall ceilings with open beams and a great view of the big backyard! Back to floor plan! Click for my Master bedroom details!

Great Room For my living room, I wanted open space and tall ceilings, the fireplace is stone and I arranged the furniture considering that the living room is kind of like a foyer in my house. I added the coat rack on the left wall so that when people walk in they can hang their coats and take off their shoes. Back to floor plan! See great room details

Master Bathroom I wanted the bathroom to have a stone/mountain feel so I chose stone flooring and dark red wood furniture. The bathroom also has a vanity to store towels and necessities. Back to floor plan! See bathroom details

Kitchen Where all the family hangs out! Open space with an eating area and island for plenty of eating space. The kitchen is a great place to entertain and prepare food! Back to floor plan

Media/Home Theater Room The warm, cozy space to grab a box of popcorn and watch the new episode of your favorite show. Instead of having a TV in the Living room, the media room has a projector and comfy plush chairs! Back to floor plan

Second Bedroom The second bedroom is for when you decide to have family over for the weekend. The bedroom has clean lines and is not cluttered. Easy access to storage space and closet. Back to floor plan

Childrens Guest Bedroom This bedroom has fun colors and a loft! For the kids to hang out up in the loft and sleep in the comfy bed below. Back to floor plan
