How did the two chosen religions start in your country and how it has developed so far?

Christianity evolved from the jewish religion in the 1st century in Palestina. They belive in only one God. It became the the religion of the Roman Empire in 380.

In 1054 the Christianity splitted into two branches, the Eastern and West. Durring the Reformation in the XVI. century the unity of th echristianity stopped and other different forms evolved.

In 1517 a new religion, the reformation appeared in Europe. Mainly this is due to Luther Marton. Some of the following things came over to the new religion. The Catholic Church tried to get their old followings back sometimes by any means. We also know this process as counter-reformation.

At this time the Baroque style was born whose peculiarities are for example the screwed columns, the paintings on the ceilings and the agitation. It was a point of growing the devotion

The reformation before Mohacs battle was popular mainly with the German speaking citizens in the northern part of Hungary and in the Transylvanian towns. The LUTHERS DOCTRINES spread in wide range only after The reformation considered demolishing the country as a punishment of God

The new religion spread like a wave: 1.Wave – the 1530s, when the Lutheran so calledÁgost" faith got around. 2.Wave – 1540s, when the so calledHelvet belief expanded.

Reformation considered thinking very important, so education started to develop. In the 16th century schools were founded in Patak, Papa, Debrecen, Sopron, Eperjes. The typography also improved János Sylvester translated the New Testament, and the so called Vizsolyi Bible was translated by Gáspár (1591). People started to sing in churches in their native language.
