Using Trello to Manage & Monitor the Achievement of the HACE Digital Learning Strategy Objectives. https://trello.com/hounslowadultcommunitylearning Trello is a simple visual on-line project management tool. We are using it to help track and manage the achievement of the Digital Learning Strategy objectives. It will provide transparency to what is and what is not being achieved. People with responsibility for actions within the strategy will be expected to use the tool to record the progress that is being made to achieving each objective.

Trello Project Boards Trello is based on the idea of Boards and Cards. Here we can see all the boards in the HACE Digital Learning Strategy Project. Each Strategic Objective has its own Board, except objectives 1 &2 which are on 1 board. There is also a Board for tracking achievement of all the objectives as a whole, and one for the Strategy Impact Measures. Each board has a strategy objective number and in brackets the initials of people or job titles that have responsibility for achievement of the objective.

We can just record comments on progress in the Activity section, or we can establish Checklists – here you can see a Checklist called Tasks which has two specific tasks. These are connected with achieving the overall Card task which is about completing Internet connectivity research. There are other things we can also do such as set deadline dates. By all means experiment with the functions on the right. The tasks that are already on cards are tasks specified in the Strategy. If you have responsibility for the achievement of an objective you can add in other tasks and checklists if and where you feel this is appropriate. Think of what is there as a framework. However please do not remove what is already there.
