5 second sacrifice What is the point of this story? Can you connect with this story in anyway? If so how? Who will gain and who will lose from a school that focuses on doing little acts of kindness like this? How might your actions have influenced someone today in a positive or negative way? How has someone else’s actions influenced you today in a positive or negative way? What do you think would happen if we knew the positive or negative impact that every one of our actions had on other people throughout the day?

With every person’s life we touch, there is the possibility for mutual change. With every person’s life we touch, there is the possibility that the whole world will change.

What specific examples of influence did you notice in the video? Does everyone think the same way as the construction worker? Why or why not? What do you think of the line, “It might not be probable, but it is possible”? Why is it important that we live in the possible and not always in the probable? Have you seen examples of a chain reaction of kindness that lead to a boomerang effect in your own life? Explain. Kindness boomerang

DID YOU…. Notice that while the boy was helping the older lady across the street, his friends were following him in the background and watching everything that he did? Notice that even though the younger lady who was helped by the older lady who crossed the street did not smile, she still kept the chain of kindness going, which shows that no act of kindness is ever wasted? See that the hot dog vendor standing in front of the man who was sitting outside the music store, probably for a while, jumped in with kindness only when the man first bought an extra hot dog for him? Understand why the girl bought flowers for the older lady that was sitting in the outdoor restaurant? Answer: Because she was looking over sadly at the table that had some young girls interacting with their Mom and/or Grandma. Notice why the old lady who received the flowers gave the $100 tip for the waitress? Answer: The waitress was being yelled at by her manager in the background.
