A conclusion is your chance to have your last word. Make it count!

We want to make sure it is awesome, so what are some parts that need to be in a conclusion

Conclusion: Restate Thesis statement (1-2 sentences which restate the thesis in a new way) Summary of your body The Clincher, or Final Thought

A Final Thought: Thoughtful Comment Personal Reaction An Insight

A Conclusion Does NOT: Add new information Say: “In Conclusion…” Say: “This is why I think…” Say: “Now I’ve told you why…”
