MON 7 MARCH – Reports issued with final version of option form TUES 8 MARCH – PSE-OPTIONS including pre-final return MON 14 MARCH – OPTIONS RETURN DEADLINE    

Senior Phase 2016-17 Fall in school roll (small year groups S2 and S4) = less teachers = less courses in senior phase. Big pressure on places in classes which do run Check you meet the entry requirements BEFORE opting for a course. Places are only likely to be offered to pupils who meet/are likely to meet the entry requirements Scope for review of options after results

KEY QUESTIONS FOR PUPILS What are your hopes/plans for when you leave school? What qualifications will you need by the end of your time in school? What pathways will allow you to achieve this?

ARE YOU LOOKING AT UNIVERSITY? Ask yourself why? Which Course/es are you thinking about? Why these? Which Universities/Why? What are the minimum entry requirements? Look at different Uni’s! Where will the course you are looking at take you after you graduate? Have you considered alternatives e.g. Modern or Technical Apprenticeship? Do you know what they offer?
