Overall facts WMOC2019 will take place in Riga, Latvia, July 5-12, 2019 2 sprint events (Q and F) and 3 forest (Q, Middle final, Long final) All events are close to capital city of Latvia (2, 2, 11 and 35 km from Event centre) Sprint final will be in Old Riga where also WOC2018 sprint final will take place Forest races are in technicaly very challenging areas but in a nice forest with good runnability and beach nearby.

Issues and challenges in planning To find the best dates for the championships! Nature protection issues in the chosen areas WOC2018 in Latvia – a benefit or burden for WMOC2019? Finance and support from government Do we know our participants? ex-Elite orienteer or «Sunday runner»? advanced technology user or «keep it simple person»? willing to pay for extra conveniences or looking for basic service «just give me the map!» ?
