Lasting courage comes only from confidence in God and what He has done and doing in Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 1:3-5 NLT 3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, 4 and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. 5 And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see.

As followers of Christ we must always praise the goodness of God and His infinite mercy towards us.

God the Author of all life is also the Author of our second life in Christ which brings great hope.

4 and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay.

A second great hope we share is the priceless eternal inheritance stored for us in Heaven.

5 And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see.

Surrendered followers of Jesus Christ are under the continual watchful care of God.

For God’s preserving power to protect our soul we must surrender in faith to Him.

Faith is also critical to our hope in God’s promises that we will always be safe within God’s fortress.
