Key Findings from the National Academy of Sciences Committee Report on Data Science

Key Findings from the National Academy of Sciences Committee Report on Data Science Finding 2.2: It is important for data science education to incorporate real data, broad impact applications, and commonly deployed methods. Finding 2.3: Incorporating ethics into an undergraduate data science program provides students with valuable skills that can be applied to complex, human-centered questions across disciplines. Finding 2.4: Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in multi-disciplinary teams are critical to students’ success in data science.
