13 Step 5: Choose your units In each discipline you need to choose: ONE unit in BOTH semesters Dont just pick units for first semester

14 Step 5: Choose your units What if I am applying for credit? For Arts owned courses, your credit may have been pre-assessed – based on the information provided to us by VTAC. Your pre-assessed credit is available after this session, please remain in the lecture theatre. For those of you in courses not owned by Arts you will need to follow the instructions of your home faulty.

15 Step 5: Enrol in units How to enrol on-line Note: you must follow your managing facultys enrolment instructions, which may include manual (not on-line) enrolment

16 Step 5: Enrol in units What you can do in the WES –Update contact details –Complete Enrolment questionnaire –Complete CSP HECS-HELP application forms –Unit enrolment You can also: –View your results –Print/view your unofficial academic record –Check your exam timetable –Receive important messages and updates

17 Step 5: Enrol in units How do I use the WES? WES is just like internet banking – you complete each step in order before you go on to the next section. –The Arts enrolment website includes WES information – so take a look –

18 Step 5: Enrol in units Log into WES: Enter your username, password and DOB

19 Step 5: Enrol in units Once you are logged in… Click on the enrolment/re-enrolment summary link Complete each module in order: 1.Contact details 2.Enrolment questionnaire 3.CSP HECS-HELP application 4.Unit enrolment (dont forget to enrol for BOTH semesters)

20 Step 5: Enrol in units Enrolment Declaration – your electronic signature By agreeing you are agreeing to use and check your student account regularly – you should check it on at least a weekly basis

21 Step 5: Enrol in units A transaction number will appear on your screen every time you make a change or complete a module. Record your transaction number for future reference. You will also receive an in your student account with the details of what you have done on WES every time you make a change or complete a module. How do you know it has worked?

22 Step 5 Complete your enrolment via the WES What if I cannot enrol via the WES? Your managing faculty may not use the WES for enrolment – you must follow your managing facultys instructions. If Arts is your managing faculty, there are days on which you can come to the university and we will assist you if you are having trouble, HOWEVER you should start getting comfortable with using the WES as this will be a vital resource throughout your degree.

23 Step 6: Collect your ID card Friday 29 th January is the day to collect your ID card for most students enrolled in courses managed by Arts You can collect your ID card at the Student Services Centre in the Campus Centre (building 10) at the time indicated in your VTAC letter of offer If you need help enrolling in your Arts units, please come to room XXXX on 27, 28 or 29 January and a staff member will be able to help you
