Act It Out Mr. Harpine

What is it? ACT IT OUT An ACT IT OUT is an activity where students get to do just that, act it out! Students will be assigned into small groups. Students will be shown a picture and will be assigned a “part” in the picture. Students will be given time to prepare and then will actually step into their part to recreate their picture. Here is what you need to know about an act it out.

What you need to do. All students are required to contribute. You will not know which student is the actor until the minute before the presentation! All MUST be prepared and know what is going on! You will need to create a prop that your character has in the picture. It can be something they are wearing or something they have in their hands.

The Key Questions… You must be able to answer the following questions about your character What country are you exploring for? ( Who is sponsoring your trip?)   Why are you exploring? Where are you arriving? (What piece of land?) What affect do you think your exploring will have on the Natives?

Good Luck! This Power Point was created by Mr. Harpine using questions created by Mandy Gregory. The History Alive! Program is the source for the Act it Out! Format
