The Hero’s Journey Visual Kaleidoscope

The Finished Product

Step I: The Silhouette

Step 1 Carefully sketch the outline you prefer. You may create your own silhouette if you prefer: just make sure it looks great! Make sure your design takes up 60% of the space.

Select Your Silhouette of Choice

Step 2 Step II: The Background Fill in 100% of the space outside of the silhouette. You may use a variety of colors and designs, but the space must be 100% filled. You are not doing ANYTHING inside of the design today. Step II: The Background

Step 2 Fill in 100% of the space outside of the silhouette. You may use a variety of colors and designs, but the space must be 100% filled. You are not doing ANYTHING inside of the design today.

Step 2 Step III: The 12 Spaces Fill in 100% of the space outside of the silhouette. You may use a variety of colors and designs, but the space must be 100% filled. You are not doing ANYTHING inside of the design today. Step III: The 12 Spaces

Step 3 Divide your shape into 12 equally divided spaces. Each space represents a step on the hero’s journey

Step 2 Step IV: The TITLES Fill in 100% of the space outside of the silhouette. You may use a variety of colors and designs, but the space must be 100% filled. You are not doing ANYTHING inside of the design today. Step IV: The TITLES

Step 4 Label each space a step on the hero’s journey. Make the title prominent enough to see from 5 feet away, but also small enough to fit in room for writing. Step I: The Ordinary World Step II: Call to Adventure Step III: Refuse the Call Step IV: Crossing the Threshold Step XII: Return with Elixer Sep V: Friend, Allies, Enemies Sep VII: Ordeal Step VI: Belly of the Whale Step IX: Reward Step XI: RESURRECTION Sep XI: Resurrection Step XI: The Road Back

Step 2 Step V: The Finished Product, Option A Fill in 100% of the space outside of the silhouette. You may use a variety of colors and designs, but the space must be 100% filled. You are not doing ANYTHING inside of the design today. Step V: The Finished Product, Option A

Step 5: The Last Step, Option A You have 2 options to finish your silhouette Option 1: Fill each section with examples and explanation (CD/CM) of how each step on the hero’s journey takes place in movies and in books. You are not drawing any symbols or pictures so there should be a thoroughly developed paragraph for each space. You will want to split up parts of the silhouette amongst your group. Step I: The Ordinary World Step II: Call to Adventure asdkfjaksldfjklasdjfklasdhfjasdhfjasdhfjasdhfklasjdklfjaskldfjkasdjfklasdjfkasdfjklasdjfasdfkasdjasddddddksadjfksadjfklasdjfkasdjfkasjdf’asdf’asjdkfjasdklfjasdkfjasdkfjasd’askdfjaskldfjaskldfjaskldfjklasdjfkalsdjfal’’a’asdjfkasjdf’a’a Asdfjkasdjfkasdjfklasdjfklasjdfklasjdfklasdjfklasdjfklasdjf’’as’dfkasdjfklasdjflkasdfjasdfklasjdfklasdjfklasdjfklasdfjaskldfjasdlfk’ A Askdfjaslkdfjaskldfjaskldfjalskdfjalskdfjalksdfjalskdfjsadlkfj Asdkfjasdlkfjasdklfjasdklfjasdklfjasdklfjasdklfjsad‘ aksdfjalksdjfaklsdfjskladfjklasdfjklasdf Step III: Refuse the Call asdkfjaksldfjklasdjfklasdhfjasdhfjasdhfjasdhfklasjdklfjaskldfjkasdjfklasdjfkasdfjklasdjfasdfkasdjasddddddksadjfksadjfklasdjfkasdjfkasjdf’asdf’asjdkfjasdklfjasdkfjasdkfjasd’askdfjaskldfjaskldfjaskldfjklasdjfkalsdjfal’’a’asdjfkasjdf’a’a Asdfjkasdjfkasdjfklasdjfklasjdfklasjdfklasdjfklasdjfklasdjf’’as’dfkasdjfklasdjflkasdfjasdfklasjdfklasdjfklasdjfklasdfjaskldfjasdlfk’ Askdfjaslkdfjaskldfjaskldfjalskdfjalskdfjalksdfjalskdfjsadlkfj Asdkfjasdlkfjasdklfjasdklfjasdklfjasdklfjasdklfjsad‘ A aksdfjalksdjfaklsdfjskladfjklasdfjklasdf Step IV: Crossing the Threshold Step XII: Return with Elixer Sep V: Friend, Allies, Enemies Sep VII: Ordeal Step VI: Belly of the Whale Step IX: Reward Step XI: RESURRECTION Sep XI: Resurrection Step XI: The Road Back
