GDP CALCULATION: extra exercise Copyright Mark Van Couwenberghe, 2017 GDP CALCULATION: extra exercise Three companies generate the GDP of the economy of Tropica: chocolate factory (CF), lemonade factory (LF), biscuit factory (BF). Turnover CF = 90.000 euro. They import cacao beans @ 40.000 euro. 2 workers. Salary cost per worker = 20.000 euro. LF sells products @ 100.000 euro. They import ingredients @ 26.000 euro. Total salary costs = 55.000 euro. All lemonade is exported. Turnover BF = 370.000 euro. They purchase chocolate from the CF @ 90.000 euro and they import other ingredients @ 110.000 euro. 5 workers. Salary cost per worker = 20.000 euro. 60% of turnover is exported. Calculate GDP using 3 approaches
