Introduction to Oracle Site Hub Site Hub provides a data hub to store and maintain information about sites in organizations. As a data hub—it provides the capability to consolidate site information into a master repository, govern the master data, provide abilities the lifecycle, and provide views of related information. Oracle Site Hub provides: Two user roles—the Administrator role is used for setup, and the Site User role includes site management functionality. Attributes such as geographic locations, legal entities, hierarchies, and trade areas. Multiple methods for site record creation. Site clusters to group shared characteristics. Hierarchies providing classifications needed for business. Mapping functionality for geographic locations. Introduction to Oracle Site Hub A site is defined as a place of business interest. Examples include stores, warehouses, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, retail locations, and executive offices. Introduction to Site Hub Sites have various purposes such as retail, corporate, or government. Sites can be internal corporate locations, offices, and franchises—or external organizations such as competitors, suppliers, and partners. Overview of Oracle Site Hub 1 - 7

Understanding Site Hub Roles Site Hub provides two user roles: The Administrator sets up attributes, preferences, and formats. The Site Hub User is responsible for site creation and maintenance. User Administrator Understanding Site Hub Roles Administrator Role The Administrator role workbench pages contain tabbed regions for search and setup of site attributes, location attributes, trade areas and trade area group attributes, mapping preferences, and value sets. Site User Role The Site User role workbench consists of two tabbed regions: Home and Sites. The Home tab displays current site activity, and notifications for your employee login. In the Sites region you can select the link for the records displayed to view all information about the site; or select Update to edit the site information. Overview of Oracle Site Hub 1 - 8

Understanding Entities Site Hub uses business entities or objects of Site, Location, Hierarchy, and Trade Area to categorize attributes at the highest level. Defining Attributes and Attribute Groups Attributes capture features such as business, physical, and financial information for your business entities. Closely related attributes can be grouped for the same business entity. Defining Attributes and Attribute Groups Seeded attributes are provided, and Site Hub supports user-defined attributes for sites, locations, hierarchies, and trade area groups. You can group attributes based on business functions, and create attribute pages for categorizing attribute groups to display separately. Setting and Viewing Mapping Features Location and other site data can be viewed on a map. You can upload site icons, associate attribute pages, and select the display criteria. Setting and Viewing Mapping Features Site visualization is provided with Google Maps™ embedded within Site Hub. The map enables you to select criteria for the type of site information you want displayed. For example, you can select all external sites within a specific radius. Overview of Oracle Site Hub 1 - 12 Importing Data Data can be imported from other sources, you can: Import data into a spreadsheet Export records into Site Hub Batch Import Export Importing Data You have the ability to import data using a batch file import process, and then export it into a spreadsheet into Site Hub. Different import formats enable the Administrator to define various attributes to be included in the file when sites are imported. Viewing, Creating, and Editing Site Records Information about a site is visible on the site record including number, name, type, address, and integration with other Oracle applications. Viewing, Creating, and Editing Site Records There are several methods for creating new sites including Manual data entry Copying from an existing record or template Import and export process from a spreadsheet Using a web service Sites are created with purposes assigned. You can associate attributes, attachments, and include sites in clusters and hierarchies. Assigned attributes are based on the site purposes, locations, and trade areas. Site data, including demographics and competitor data, provide inputs for site comparisons and targeted marketing. As your business evolves, you can update existing sites to reflect business changes. Site Clusters and Hierarchies Site Hub provides the ability to: Group sites with shared characteristics into clusters Create hierarchical structures grouped for sites at several levels Site Clusters and Hierarchies Site Hub provides the ability to group sites in clusters, that is, at one level only. For example, you can create a cluster of sites with a specific annual revenue range and size. Hierarchies are a tree representation of sites, grouped for common characteristics at several levels. This logical grouping aids in viewing and enables you to drill down to view the site details. You can create hierarchical structures for your sites according to both site and hierarchy purposes and attributes.
