Newly added access ways provide connectivity to rural addresses NationalMap Release Notes – February 2019 Roads: Nationally, 80+ new roads have been added, from multiple sources. The ongoing project to review Property and Facility access roads has seen an additional 2873 roads (or 1468kms) added to NationalMap – These roads enhance end-to-end routing, and is particularly important in rural areas where the main road could be several kilometres away from the house/building. (see right) Commercial Points of Interest A full quality review of NZ Post branches and franchise locations, brings the count to 865. Non-commercial Points of Interest An update to all education related POIs has been released in this version of NationalMap. A review of the location of park POIs has been completed. Now all large parks (i.e. National Parks, Regional Parks, Forest Parks etc.) have separate POIs for each main vehicle entrance A review of building outlines for hospitals and campuses has been conducted. Newly added access ways provide connectivity to rural addresses
