Federal Aid – Who is Eligible? U.S. citizen or permanent resident High school graduate/GED holder Eligible degree/certificate program Valid Social Security Number Males registered for Selective Service *This is not a comprehensive list, see www.studentaid.ed.gov for more information

CSU-Pueblo FAFSA school code is 001365 Federal Aid - Applying 2018-2019 Complete your FAFSA NOW! FAFSA became available October 1st, 2018-2019 FAFSA is based on 2016 Federal Tax Return If enrolling Spring/Summer 2018, please complete 2017-2018 FAFSA CSU-Pueblo FAFSA school code is 001365

Need Based Financial Aid Federal Pell Grant Based on Estimated Family Contribution (EFC), this is determined by the information from your FAFSA Maximum award for 17/18 is $5920* for AY (To receive Max student must have a zero EFC and be in 12 credit hours min.) “Tiered” Award amount based on enrollment Federal SEOG Grant Students must be Federal Pell Grant eligible Priority funding given to students with a zero EFC 2018-2019 award is $800 Must be enrolled full time * Full-time enrollment required for maximum eligibility

Need Based Financial Aid Colorado Student Grant Colorado Resident Need based grant awarded only to students who are Pell Grant eligible 2018-2019 award is $2000 Full-time enrollment required (12 credit hours or more)

Need Based Financial Aid Commitment to Colorado* ($1000/year) Colorado residents Must be Pell Grant eligible 3.0 GPA required to renew CSU-Pueblo Grant* Awarded based on financial need and academic indicators Award amounts vary * Full-time enrollment required

Need Based Financial Aid Federal Work Study 2018-2019 award $3,000 OR Colorado Work Study Colorado Resident These are “Work to Earn” awards

Federal Direct Student Loans Subsidized Direct Student Loan Government pays interest while in school This is Need Based Aid, not all students will qualify to receive Subsidized loans Aggregate limit $23,000 No payments required while in school Unsubsidized Direct Student Loan (non-need based) Government does not pay interest while in school Interest will capitalize upon repayment *Total aggregate loan limits are $31,000 for dependents & $57,500 for independents

Federal Direct Student Loans No payments required while in school Each student loan borrower must complete Entrance Counseling Master Promissory Note 2017-2018 Interest Rate is 4.45% Grade level Dependent Independent Freshman $5,500 $9,500 Sophomore $6,500 $10,500 Junior & Senior $7,500 $12,500

Verification You will know you are selected for verification by reviewing your SAR comments 1/3 or 33% of students are selected Nationwide Confirms accuracy of FAFSA PAWS will list required documentation that needs to be submitted to FA office. IRS Data Retrieval Required for disbursement @ CSU-Pueblo Priority Deadline of June 1st
